SAR Kit app for iPhone and iPad

Developed with hiking in mind, Search And Rescue Kit is to be used to signal your location when an accident occurs while in a remote area.


The scenario:

Youre out in the mountains for a hike, and all of a sudden you twist your ankle. Your movement is impaired. Its time to shout for help. A whistle or a professional tracking device would help, but in the absence of this we can, as of now, use our iPhone.


How it works:

SAR Kit will enable a set of action based on the availability of the following resources: battery, calls, gps and internet.
Different combinations will enable different actions. For example:
- battery alone enables Siren and Blinking flash. Good for close range.
- gps + calls enables emergency contacts calls and sms. These sms are pre-filled with the current coordinates.
- gps + internet enables you to broadcast your location via a server. These broadcasts can be seen by other app users, in the green section.
